Job Summary

The Export Coordinator is responsible for the timely coordination of exports for the company and works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interfaces with internal and external customers, foreign order administration, freight forwarders, customs officers and other functional areas to ensure coordination and logistics of shipments.
  • Ensures legal compliance and provides export administration and control within government rules and regulations, including appropriate licensing for shipments, proper packaging methods, and online filing of SED’s.
  • Exercises some judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Responsible for accurate paperwork and compliance to customer specific requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 3 years of experience in shipping/logistics with international shipping experience

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work well with management, customers, other employees and freight forwarders.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and strong math skills.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP software.
  • Letters of credit and freight filing is preferred.
