Procurement Intern, OU.LOCATION
Ready to take what you’re
learning in school and put it to work? At Interfor, we’re looking for future
leaders who are curious, hands-on, and eager to learn. You’ll work alongside
experienced procurement professionals, build practical skills, and gain a better
understanding of how wood procurement, log valuation, contractor relationships,
data collection, and process improvement support our mill operations. If you
enjoy working outdoors, solving problems, and learning how logs move from the
forest to the mill, this could be the summer opportunity for you!
This position requires you
to be on-site to perform the job duties and ideally the candidate will start in
May 2027 and be available from 4-8 months.

compensation for interns, including:
- Salaries
starting from $3,700 per month (based on your year in
school and previous experience). - Temporary
living allowance for interns moving to the area for
the role.
What You’ll Do
- Get
hands-on exposure to wood procurement and the role it plays in supporting
mill operations. - Assist with
log valuation and stumpage acquisition activities. - Learn how
strong relationships with logging contractors support safe and efficient
operations. - Collect and
organize data to support procurement decisions and day-to-day activities. - Contribute
to process improvement projects while learning from experienced
procurement professionals.
What You Offer
- You are
currently enrolled in a recognized university or college program related
to forestry, natural resources, or wood products processing. - You have a
basic understanding of workplace safety rules and regulations. - You are
physically able and willing to work outdoors in hot or inclement weather
conditions. - You have a
valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
