Quality Control Superintendent, Nairn Centre, Ontario

Centre team, where you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement
in product quality, grade recovery, and lumber optimization. This role leads QC
strategy, ensures compliance with grade specifications, and supports production
teams with technical quality expertise.

Expected range: $108,000 –
$120,000 (CAD) per annum

What You’ll Do

• Oversee all aspects of the mill’s quality control programs and performance.
• Maximize lumber grade and recovery using optimization systems and analytics.
• Lead and coach QC staff, providing training and feedback to improve quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues.
• Define and execute strategic initiatives to enhance product quality and consistency.

What You Offer

• At least 5 years of experience in sawmill, planer, or lumber QC operations.
• Proficient in lumber grading rules and optimization technologies.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Skilled in quality troubleshooting, data analysis, and performance coaching.
• Post-secondary education and a valid Lumber Grading Ticket are assets.
