Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Clinical Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for administration management of patient care outcomes and utilization of staffing on 7A-7P, 7P-7A, 11A-11P and 7-3, 3-11 and 11-7 shifts. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for overall continuity of the implemented philosophy and objectives of the Patient Care Services Department. He/she is responsible for developing, coordinating and promoting the facility’s patient standards / practice in accordance with legal, ethical, professional, and organizational standards. He/she must maintain clinical skills and assist various units in the realm of patient care services as needed.
Qualifications
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education:
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure by State Board of Nursing
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- BCLS & ACLS Certification
- Experience:
- Previous management or charge nurse experience (1 year preferred)
- Must possess good communicating skills and interact effectively with interdisciplinary staff members.
PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the work day, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned.

- Position has Occupational expected exposure to blood borne pathogens.
