Job Description
Durden Banking Company, Inc. is hiring a Deposit Operations Specialist that desires to join a high energy, growing community bank that is committed to the highest level of customer service.
The employee is responsible for daily activities in the deposit operations department to ensure the timely and accurate processing of data.
Responsibilities
- Employee is responsible for daily activities in the deposit operations department to ensure the timely and accurate processing of data
- Performs a variety of duties in support of the Deposit Operations department which may include but not limited to: proof, image processing, escheatment, rejected or non-post items, wires, stop payments, holds, overdrafts, ACH, transit adjustments, branch settlement, levies, subpoenas, certifications, etc
- Electronic banking services: internet banking, bill pay and mobile banking
· Processes debit card disputes
· Responds to customer inquiries
· Conducts research on accounts
· Reconciles accounts and statement assistance
· Ensures required information adheres to compliance standards
· Prepare records and reports
· Backup or assist Deposit Operations staff
· Performs other duties, as assigned by CFO
Required Experience, Skills, and Training
•Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers, vendors and employees. • Knowledge of bank products, services and policies. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Successful completion of online training and any other compliance training deemed necessary by the Bank. • Have knowledge and abide by Bank Secrecy Act Laws and regulations.
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent is required. • Experience in Deposit Operations is preferred.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. • May need to stand for long periods of time. • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
