Job Overview

The teller serves as a first point of contact for customers by providing Durden Banking Company service excellence, processing transactions under bank policies and procedures, assisting with customer inquiries, and recognizing cross-selling opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Represent the bank to the customer both in conduct and attire in a courteous, professional manner, and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service.

Balance cash drawer daily, verify and strap currency.

Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify deposit amounts, examine checks for endorsement and negotiability, place holds on checks as needed and enter transactions into bank records.

Cross-sell bank services.

Receive payments for loans,

Answer telephone and assist customers and employees in a professional, prompt, and courteous manner.

Have knowledge of products and services and educate customers on bank technology and digital solutions such as mobile, online, ATM and other offerings.

Comply with all bank polices, regulations and laws applicable to carrying out teller duties and responsibilities.
