Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, the Technician II will be responsible for assessing the condition of adhesive application equipment, disassembling equipment, repairing and reconditioning components, testing, troubleshooting, and identifying problems to repair products.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble products that meet quality and quantity standards in an efficient manner
Performs troubleshooting and diagnostics on Adhesive Application equipment
Diagnose failure modes of equipment circuit boards
Works on complex equipment and provide technical information to design engineers for appropriate diagnosis of issues.
Records and reports data
Works and participates on special projects or continuous improvement initiatives
Assists in creating and facilitating training for the Assembly team
Identifies and repairs complicated items such as damaged threads, panels, parts, and drives
Demonstrated knowledge and performance in electrical and mechanical skills
Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures
Offer enhancement ideas to existing processes and continuous improvement efforts
Reliability — on time arrival and departures; open to consider overtime based on business needs.
Education and Experience Requirements
High School or GED
Post high school Electrical training or Associates degree in related technology
Skills and Abilities
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Due to the variety of tasks noted above, and in support of continuous improvement, skill requirements include, but are not limited to:
- TECHNICAL ABILITY - effectively apply written/verbal instructions from procedures, documents, prints/schematics etc. Apply math skills appropriate for the assigned task; the use of basic computer skills; must have experience building Adhesive application equipment.
- ABILITY TO LEARN - assimilating and applying new, job related information in a timely manner
- ADAPTABILITY - maintaining effectiveness in changing environments, assignments, responsibilities and/or priorities
