Position Summary
Lead QA Tech is responsible for overseeing and coordinating activities of Quality Assurance Technicians in the QA Department. Manage all QA operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
General Purpose
Quality Assurance is a process which requires specific knowledge and skill. Lead Quality Assurance Tech will work across all sectors of manufacturing and are responsible for carrying out checks on products and processes to ensure they meet predetermined quality standards.
Position Responsibilities
Crider, Inc. requires all employees to comply with and support all Food Safety and Quality policies, programs, and procedures to ensure our products meet and exceed consumers’ expectation.
Responsibilities may include:
- Oversee QA technicians
- Help with various projects as directed by QA Supervisor
- Know, understand, and enforce plant rules, GMP, SOP, HACCP
- Working knowledge of HACCP plan and HACCP checks
- Working knowledge of SOP plans and SSOP checks
- Know all GMP's and plant rules
- Must know how to do GMP audits
- Help with doing food safety research
- Assist in writing or updating plant procedures, policies, and prerequisite programs as needed
- Record review
- Record filing
- Data entry
- Document preparation
- All other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience
- Successfully pass QA Proficiency Exam.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Maintain a good attendance and performance standard.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Optimal organizational skills with a systematic approach to work.
- Ability to prioritize workloads.
- Close attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow written instruction and to keep accurate records.
- Ability to act quickly when there is a problem.
- Competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Relevant Skills and Experience
- College education preferred. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds is required. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level at work is usually moderate to loud.
