Position Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day property operations, including land management, wildlife programs, guest accommodations, equipment, and facility maintenance. This role leads a small team while coordinating multiple priorities across the property. The position requires strong organization and a hands-on approach, along with the ability to manage resources, maintain equipment, and ensure a high-quality experience for guests.

Position Responsibilities

  • Crider Foods requires all employees to comply with and support all Food Safety and Quality policies, programs and procedures to ensure our products meet and exceed consumers’ expectation.
  • Oversee day-to-day management and upkeep of all property assets, including timber, food plots, roads, ponds, fencing, gates, and drainage systems.
  • Plan and coordinate land improvement activities such as planting, fertilization, bush hogging, and general maintenance.
  • Monitor overall property conditions and implement improvements to maintain quality and usability.
  • Execute the wildlife management program in alignment with the contracted biologist’s plan.
  • Coordinate habitat improvements including food plots, bedding areas, water sources, and cover management.
  • Support harvest strategies and population control efforts while maintaining accurate records of wildlife activity and habitat work.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between ownership and the biologist and report on wildlife conditions and observations.
  • Partner with the Lead Guide to support hunting operations, including preparing and maintaining stands, blinds, access routes, and hunting areas.
  • Ensure lodging and property readiness for guests and assist with scheduling logistics and overall guest experience.
  • Manage all property equipment, including tracking condition, coordinating repairs, and overseeing vendor relationships.
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Supervise and lead a team of approximately five employees, including scheduling work, assigning tasks, and providing training and accountability.
  • Oversee maintenance of the lodge and all facilities, ensuring utilities, systems, and structures are fully operational.
  • Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and general facility improvements.
  • Develop and execute weekly and seasonal work plans aligned with property goals.
  • Manage supplies, materials, and inventory while coordinating priorities with ownership.
  • Enforce safe work practices, including proper operation of equipment and handling of fuel and chemicals.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Drive performance against key operational goals, including property condition, equipment uptime, guest satisfaction, wildlife program execution, and budget performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in property management, land management, agriculture, wildlife management, or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment (tractors, implements, UTVs, etc.).
  • Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Experience coordinating land improvement activities such as planting, fertilization, and general grounds maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of wildlife and habitat management practices preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a small team, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance accountability.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
  • Ability to plan and execute work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor as needed.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with ownership, vendors, and external partners.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles and equipment safely.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

· Able to walk and stand, use arms and legs for long periods of time including wrist turning and finger manipulation.

· Employee stands frequently with tasks requiring consistent bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling to complete; Lift, carry and push/pull occasionally of up to 50 pounds is required.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to extreme temperature conditions.

· Job locations can be consistently 40 degrees or below.

· The noise levels at work are moderate to loud and hearing protection is required.
