Position Summary

Be able to Manage and direct facility maintenance operations in the cook and fresh plant operations.

General Purpose

Responsible for improving efficiencies; Preventive maintenance; Problem resolution; Team member retention and driving and supporting continuous improvement.

Role Qualifications

  • Must execute ways to satisfy the customer, including internal and external.
  • Must ensure that all departments are working together for the same goal.
  • Must develop systems and controls to ensure Cost and Yield goals are met.
  • Must be able to develop and train maintenance personnel.

Position Responsibilities

  • Crider Foods requires all employees comply with and support all Food Safety and Quality policies, programs, and procedures to ensure our products meet and exceed consumers’ expectations.
  • Develop and directs personnel to manage the Maintenance operations not to exclude any other areas assigned.
  • Develop programs that will monitor yields and costs and adjust as needed.
  • Executes programs that will continue to improve the Maintenance team.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Prepare capital equipment requests with the support of plant management and corporate engineers.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, or previous experience in fully cooked operations and other areas or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results from others
  • Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a six month to one year period
  • Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution capabilities at both strategic and functional levels
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to company values

Preferred Relevant Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with production experience, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in fully cooked operations, and other areas in a poultry plant.
  • Advanced computer efficiency.
  • Knowledge of yields, efficiency, and cost.

  • Maintenance team members.
